COMPACT DRY Why waste time and money preparing media?
Unitech Scientific is proud to release the new “Compact Dry” system of ready to use Microbiological Test. The Scil “Compact Dry” system offers ready to use microbiological media plates in a dehydrated form for a wide variety of microbiological testing, eliminating the need for media preparation and allowing any lab with an incubator to process their own microbiological analyses.
The Compact Dry plates are coated with a dehydrated film of growth media which is rehydrated either by direct addition of 1ml of the solution to be checked for contamination, or by using a Compact Dry Swab which comes complete with 1ml of buffered peptone solution to enable surfaces to be swabbed and plated for growth. The plates are then incubated and colonies easily identified by color. A dilution rack series enables fast 10 fold dilution to be prepared for those areas with high counts.
The plates are conveniently stored in sterile conditions and are stable at room temperature for more than a year.
So why prepare media when Compact Dry plates are cost effective
& eliminate this time consuming task.
